Lily Bognuda

I'm a New Zealand-born photographer, videographer, and director, currently based in Europe, with a passion for telling immersive stories about our connection to the wild through music, ecology, and rewilding. Over the past seven years, I've worked on projects ranging from documenting the San bushmen in the Kalahari to co-creating Riverlov, a platform for river-centered storytelling, with the first film focusing on a rare and remarkable river in the Balkans.

Testimonials

“Lily has the eye of an artist and the curious mind of a journalist. Her deep insight and clarity of vision enable her to ask excellent questions and be in the right place at the right time to capture images and sound that tell powerful stories. She does this with subtlety and a gentle respect for her subjects, drawing out beautiful and poignant content for the stunning films she creates”.

— Director, The Old Way.”

"This was the first film we had made about our work and Lily guided us professionally and painlessly through the process. Her filming was so unobtrusive that we often forgot we were on camera, but all the time she had a clear idea of how best to present our work to the world.
We are absolutely delighted with the finished film which far surpassed our expectations. To see ones' work through the thoughtful and caring eyes of a professional filmmaker is an amazing experience".
