Telling Stories of our Wild World
About Lily Bognuda
I'm grateful that storytelling has led me to some of the most meaningful experiences of my life. It has shifted my perspective, connected me with a wide range of people, and allowed me to piece together a patchwork of grassroots change.
Lily Bognuda
A storyteller with an intentional, immersive approach to filmmaking and visual documentation. Drawn to the depth of human experience and the wisdom of the wild, her creative journey has been shaped by a life lived in close connection with the land—often traveling overland, slowly, and with a deep sense of listening.
Her mission is to tell stories that reflect the beauty, resilience, and intelligence of the more-than-human world, and to support others doing the same. She has had the privilege of collaborating with a wide range of passionate changemakers, creatives, and communities—helping them share their unique, place-based stories with wider audiences.
Past collaborators include: The Barn Owl Trust, HARA the Label, The Kalahari San Master Tracker Programme, The Old Way, Montenegro Ecological Society, RTGC, and many more.
Lily works primarily through the mediums of film and photography, using them to explore alternative ways of living, the visual textures of ecology and culture, and our evolving relationship with the natural world. Her work invites others to reconnect with wildness—both within and without—and to live more slowly, more intentionally, and more ecologically.
